To be an Association representing the Saskatchewan Forest Industry, recognized for being the trusted leading voice in forest sustainability through the development of inclusive, collaborative partnerships with stakeholders and rights-holders.

Our Role
Government and Rights Holders Relationships - working with all federal, provincial, municipal and indigenous governments towards growing the industry in a manner that is mindful to the sustainability of the forest and sponsors continued industry prosperity
Engagement with Other Forest Users - engaging with other forest resource users and interests towards supporting cooperative and collaborative relationships and the mindful sharing of our common resource Public Engagement - providing the general public with timely industry insights, information and/or data which identifies industry activities, planning & management practices, future industry investment intentions and employment opportunities. Also supporting a robust social media network that allows the public to provide commentary on industry activities and/or share ideas that enhance industry prosperity Membership Relations - working with current members in addressing common industry concerns and/or considerations such as workforce development, supply chain issues, transportation challenges, and data and information management concerns. Also engaging in the recruitment of new members through an outreach process that allows potential new members to learn more about our Association |

Our Focus
Our focus as an Association is to ensure the sustainability of the provincial forest resource through partnership with other users, while ensuring the economic viability and prosperity of the industry and supporting the needs of our various community partners.

SustainabilityMore than half the province , around 34 million hectares, is forested land and every year millions of new trees are planted. The Commercial Forest Zone is 12 million hectares, 5.0 million of which is productive forest land available for commercial timber harvesting.

Forestry & the Economy
2021 was a record year for Saskatchewan forest product sales reaching $1.8 billion, with 60% of those products being exported around the world. The growing forest sector continues to attract additional new investments and likely reach new total product sales of $2.2 billion by 2024 and supporting up to 12,000 direct and indirect jobs by 2030.
